The D-MADE team started preparations for the development marketplace with public consultations and workshops in several European countries, which served as publicity and outreach events for the D-MADE.
Consultations were held in Bonn, Germany (June 15th), Brussels, Belgium (June 18th), The Hague, The Netherlands (June 19th), Rome, Italy (June 22nd), Paris, France (June 29th) and London, UK (July 11th).
Learning events focusing on proposal preparation, project design and advice regarding implementation will be organized through a series of videoconferences and face-to-face workshops at strategically selected venues for the targeted diaspora groups. For all interested groups and individuals that are not able to participate in the learning events / workshops, all necessary material will be provided online.
The events will provide opportunities for interactions, networking and sharing of experiences among the diaspora organizations, sponsoring donor agencies, and other interested organizations which will participate in the events. All the diaspora organizations which submit proposals (and even those which do not) may participate in these events. Overall, the various learning events, including the Knowledge Exchange Forum, will provide access to global and local knowledge that will enrich the entrepreneurial acumen of participants in undertaking poverty reduction interventions in their various countries.
